FAQWhat's the difference between "live violin over the track" and "featured arrangement"?
When Julie performs live violin over the track, the original recording plays through the venue sound system and Julie adds live violin on top — adding texture, presence, and a live element to a familiar song. This is the default style and included in the base price. A featured arrangement means Julie plays the song's lead vocal melody on violin, by memory, in place of the original vocal — Julie's violin becomes the lead voice. This requires significantly more preparation, which is why an additional fee applies.
Can Julie learn a song that's not in the repertoire?
Yes — with at least 6 weeks of lead time. The earlier the better, especially for complex or unusual requests. Add the song using the "custom song" section above and Julie will prepare it specifically for your event.
How many ceremony moments do most couples include?
Most couples pick 3 to 5 moments — typically the prelude, processional, bride's entrance, recessional, and (if applicable) a unity moment. Cocktail hour and reception music are separate offerings; for those, please mention them in the "anything else" field when you submit.
Will my picks be saved if I close the page?
Yes — your selections are saved to this browser, so you can come back later or share the page with your partner. Selections clear when you submit your inquiry to Julie.
What if I'm still deciding between two songs?

Yes — Julie performs solo jazz piano for cocktail hour bookings, drawing from a separate piano repertoire (this picker covers ceremony violin specifically). When you submit your ceremony selections, mention you're interested in cocktail hour music too — Julie will share her piano repertoire when she follows up.
